Greek Ferry Schedules to Alonissos

Out of all my planning and extensive use of the web..I do everything electronically..for my really long 5 month trip to Europe (please hold all comments about Shengen rules I know them) I have found the most difficult parts to pin down are the Ferry Schedules.

I cannot verify if there is a ferry from Thessaloniki to Alonissos via Skopelos and Skiathos. While many sites claim to sell tickets when it actually comes to finding the actual schedule you usually get a notice that no decision has been made on whether a ferry will run from Thessaloniki to the Sporades. Though I continually read about that route was run last season...

I have been to every web site I can find. so my question I put to you all is this:

Has anyone here taken the Ferry from Thessaloniki to Alonissos? When and what was the schedule. If possible please tell me the company name.

I want to avoid having to go to Volos where it is apparent there are Ferries for sure to these destinations. Also I am traveling with my dog so I need to limit changes and get info on him on the ferries. (Usually there is no problems with this) but I want to be sure.

Thanks in advance

It is common for ferry schedules not to get published very early in Greece. Delays and changes are also common. So my primary advice is to check these details much closer to departure time (when is that?) and re-check as you go. Outside of high season, a flexible plan is usually pretty easy, with lodging also available on short notice.

You've probably already seen www.ferries.gr, one of the main aggregators of ferries for the region. You can also search online for the tourist information office for each island and email them or look for more ferry info there. But if the trip is not for a few months, be patient.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. Yes I have been to all of the aggregator sites. But I was hoping someone who has actually used the Thessaloniki Ferry (maybe last year) would answer with some details. But from what I read online, whether this Ferry even runs at all is up for question.

Since I am traveling with my dog and have already reserved and given a deposit to a hotel on the Island I am anxious to get as much information as possible as early as possible.

Thanks
