I get the deal alerts from YYZ and followed this through and it is really available. Expedia has non stop flights on Air Transat October 21 to 28 for $233CAD return.
Wow. Why am i never in a position to grab these things? Hope someone can.

That would be amazing...if only work did not get in the way :)
If only YYZ were FCA.
Why, oh why did it have to be Air Transat.
They certainly are in the news for bad things these days but I've only had good experiences with them.
We have used Airtransat at least a dozen times now .
Yes economy seating is tight and food sucks ( if you can get it ) but we just used Westjet to go to Cancun and they triple suck !!!!
I go by prices .
For long flights we splurge and go Club Class on Airtransat , it's the best deal in town
Optimum Plus on Air Transat costs not too much more than basic economy, and gives you more leg room, priority boarding and and (be still my heart) an eye mask. Worth every penny except for the eye mask.
Edit: Another boon is the flights to Paris land at CDG Terminal 3, which is a smaller, quicker and easier terminal to navigate. As well, from Terminal 3 it is a 4 minute walk to where you can get the Bus 350 or 351 right into Paris for under 6 euro.
I have never flown transat but love Westjet and use them whenever we can
I checked again this evening and that fare is gone, not surprisingly. I am sure it was a mistake but hope someone out there got it before it was gone!
There may be some other very attractive fares from Air Transat in the near future, as they're dealing with somewhat of a "public relations crisis" at the moment. Hearings with government investigators are currently being held so that Transat can explain why they left people on two aircraft sitting on the tarmac for six hours, after an 8 or 9 hour flight. The situation was so dire that some passengers called 9-1-1 and police and medical personnel had to intervene. So far there's some conflicting testimony so I'm not sure whether they might be fined or whatever by the regulator.
pat,
I'm sorry to hear that your experience on WestJet was so dismal. I have flights booked with them later this month. I knew I should have booked my old favourite, Air Canada.
