We have a fairly short trip planned in April 2008 that has us flying into Madrid, visiting in Granada, and leaving from Rome. We would like to visit Florence. Is it worth the time (and money) to take the train from Granada to Florence, or should we just fly?
Fly...the train will take you at least 24 hours, and several connections.
That makes sense. The train seems to run mostly at night so I wasn't sure if we'd be able to see much scenery. Thanks!
Now let's assume the train would be during the day. Is the scenery worth the time it takes to travel on the ground...or should we just hop the jet to Florence and spend our time there?
Hop the jet and enjoy Florence. The scenery won't be worth all the time and changes you'll make on the train....never mind the expense.
Fabulous! That is exactly the sort of advice we need. We'll skip the train trip and get right to Florence. Thanks!
