We plan on driving on our trip to Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia, Montenegro in May. Anybody have any recommendations for iPhone GPS apps that work well offline in that area?

MapsWithMe, pro version. It has no voice or turn-by-turn.

Then you're into big money. Friends have had equal success with both the garmin and tomtom apps, but I don't know if they require cellular data - - probably not, but check. Also, make sure you take a car charger. Even with a big mophie, leaving the display on for so long eats the battery alive. I don't know what the voice would detreact. I've done real well with MwM and using just spot shots when I couldn't figure things out on remote roads in the far beyonds.
