Good Meeting Place Termi Rome

Greetings,
We are trying to meet some people to take the train from the Termi train station to the port of Civitavecchia. We are talking about taking the Leonardo Express and want to know where is the best meeting place in the terminal.

Ideas?

Thanks!

The Leonardo Express departs from Track 24, the far right side as you enter the terminal and there is an office trackside that sells the needed tickets. I would meet there. Look for a sign on the window printed in English that advertises Leonardo Express Ticket sales.

Tom's correct; the tracks are numbered 1-24 working from left (1) TO right (24) as you face the incoming trains. Either meet at the Leonardo Track or just all agree to meet in the middle at Track 12! There is plenty of signage and assistance in the terminal!

Ron

To add to Tom's suggestion re Track 24...at the station end of the track there is a cafe (named Foodhall or something like that) with glass window & door where you can see into station & end of the track. It has seating for patrons.

Hi, Maryalice. If you want a REALLY familiar place to meet at Termini, there is a McDonald's inside the station near the tracks.

Make sure you get the UPSTAIRS McDonald's...across from the tracks. There's also signage for the McDonald's downstairs.... AND the McDonald's JUST OUTSIDE the Termini side entrance on Via Giovanni Gioletti - THREE McDonald's within 100 yards of each other!!!!! What's the world coming to!

I just left the station and the International book store is pretty easy and dosent have crowds of people to confuse the issue as everyone is bsically inside, looking at books. Main floor, far right. Hope this helps

you guys are too funny. OK so it looks like there are some decent places to meet including three different McD's.

Thanks everyone!

Great choice Dawn - the International book store is 3 stories high. On the top floor they have a LARGE English book section at pretty reasonable prices. This is a GREAT place to pick up your Guides to Rome... and other parts of Italy! The bookstore is in the front right quadrant of Termini Station if you're looking from face-on outside the building.

Termini also has a large grocery store in the bottom level.. and bottled water was just 26 cents (Euros) last week - WOW!!! Termini may not be the prettiest train station in Europe - okay it's ugly and often dirty - but it is effective and does have some reasonably priced shopping... Unfortunately the bathrooms are still 70 cents!

Obviously I've spent TOO MUCH time there waiting on friends and family..... Ciao for NOW,

Ron
