Good accommodation near Lisbon airport?

Looking for ideas on where to stay in my last night in Lisbon before 10 a.m. flight. Easy access to transportation.

Here's the metro map for Lisbon. It opens at 6:30 am.

Really anywhere by one of the stations will be easy access to the airport. Switching between the different lines (colors) is very easy and everything is well marked and colored when you are underground. By Rossio station (Baixa/Chiado) is a nice area.

Or you can stay at the airport, there's a couple of hotels that are walking distance, but I don't think you need to since it's easy to get from downtown Lisbon to the airport.

I went ahead and added another link, this time to Julie Dawn Fox Blog regarding the different areas and accommodation. I've had good luck with her recommendations.

Thank you so much, Gail, for all this very useful information! I am a little intimidated by the the city metro lines, but I will use them from day one and have fun with the process .. not all who wander are lost, right :)

I have no sense of direction and get lost very easily, but I was okay with the Lisbon Metro. The Portuguese are very nice too, so I more than once just asked and received help. Many speak English.
