We are staying in Riva del Garda, we have a rental car. Would you suggest a drive around the lake? what towns should we not miss?
we then leave for venice on June 26th. thinking of driving rental car to verona and jumping on a train to venice....thoughts?

Personally I would prefer a boat trip (http://www.navigazionelaghi.it/eng/g_illago.html) from city to city. Driving on the road around the lake is not a relaxing experience to me and I hate using time to find a parking place. Each to his own :-)
