Going to Copenhagen

We are going to Copenhagen to watch the Senior Men's Curling in April. We will be staying at Knabrostraede23, Kobenhavn, Hovedstaden1210 and will be traveling back and forth to the curling rink (out by the airport, I believe) every day for 9 days. Would like to buy a bus pass that would do us for this length of time. What do you suggest??? Thank you for your help

There is a transportation pass that covers train, metro and bus. I know it comes in 1, 3 and 7 day increments. I'm pretty sure you can pick them up at the TI in the airport (or metro ticket office or train station). Ask what the best deal will be for you. You're about half-way between the Kongens Nytorv metro and the train station. The metro runs to the airport faster than the train (15 min. vs. 20 min.). If you can connect to a bus to the rink from there, it may be your best bet. A bus to/from downtown may take longer due to traffic around the city.

Thank you very much. Will be sure to ask at the airport, for the best deal for us.

The best way from Knabrostræde to Kastrup Curling Arena is to take bus no. 2A or 350S. On the common public transportation site www.rejseplanen.dk, you can type in the adress of departure and destination and get exact directions including maps of walking routes to and from bus stops, price information etc. The curling arena's address is Røllikevej 3, 2770 Kastrup. The easiest, most flexible and cheapest way to pay is to use ten trip stamping cards "klippekort". Each card is good for 10 trips of the specified amount of zones. Cards can be shared between persons and combined in every possible way, even the stampings themselves can be shared. As an example: one person travelling 5 zones can stamp once on a 5 zone card or once on a 2 zone card and once on a 3 zone card. Two persons travelling 3 zones can stamp twice on a 3 zone card or 3 times on a 2 zone card. All cards and tickets are good for all type of transportation (Bus, train, S-train, metro, harbour bus), and they are good for an unlimited amount of transfers within the validity period. From the city centre to the curling arena, it's 3 zones, so best is to buy a 3 zone card wich costs 190 DKK. For a trip for the arena, you would need to stamp the card twice if you are two persons travelling together (or you could have one card each, if you sometimes do not travel together). Cards are available at train stations (also at the airport) and at some drugstores, although drugstores do not sell all types of cards.
