Going through Customs on the way home

Where will we have to go through Customs on our way home to California from Rick's Ireland tour? We were booked on Air Canada with our frequent flyer miles. We have stops in Toronto, Denver and finally Palm Springs. Once we land in Toronto we change to United for the rest of the trip home. They have changed our flight times already so this is an important matter to us. We have plenty of time in Toronto to change planes, etc, but we have very little time in Denver.

You will have to go through customs twice (both in Toronto).

The first time will be Canadian customs, which are similar to US customs.
You must then go to the "transborder customs area" where you go through US customs as you would at home and board your flight. The advantage of this is that when you get to Denver you won't have to deal with customs.

David is right. You should have no problems navigating through YYZ T1 AC. It's our newest and nicest Terminal at YYZ. It's been set up to be pretty efficient and straight forward. It's alot better than the old T1 where I was always stopped and asked for directions.

Too bad you are only changing planes in T.O. It's a great city, especially in the summertime! You'll have to come back and visit sometime!

Check out the AC website before you go. It offers a lot of helpful information. Have a look if you haven't already.
Good choice on choosing Air Canada. I fly with them often and keep going back!;->

Safe Skies,

Hi Sandy,
... sometimes, when you go through US Customs, there are two lines (1)Nothing to Declare - the LONG line and (2)Something to Declare - the SHORT line. If you have just a smidgen too much wine to be in Line No.1, Just get in Line No 2 and you will find yourself going through very quickly and on your way even before your friends in Line 1 get to see their Customs Officer. The small amount of duty you pay, if any, is well worth the price... Happy Landings! P
