my wife and I will have a suiter and one carry on suitcase each, and need to go from charles de gaulle airport to te rue cler area, can we go on a rer train, bus or metro with this luggage?

Barry, The wording in your title was a bit "mixed up", but here are some suggestions on getting from Paris / CDG to the Rue Cler area. The method I prefer is: > RER "B" from GDG to Gare du Nord (note that the ticket Kiosks ONLY accept "chip & PIN" credit cards or Euro coins - there is a staffed ticket office but there's often a huge queue, not something I tolerate well after a long flight) > Transfer to Metro line 4 (direction Porte d'Orleans) to Strasbourg-Saint Denis - ~3 stops) > Transfer to Metro line 14 (direction Balard) to Ecole Militaire - ~9 stops) You might find it very helpful to have a look at This Website, which has an excellent description of the travel options (including photos).
