What is the easiest way to go from CDG airport, around Paris,and head south to the Dordogne area?

Take a TGV from the CDG train station to a city down in that region.

There will be 4 of us and we are renting a car at CDG. Is it better to go around Paris to get south to the Dordogne or into Paris and and take the Peripherique? Which route if you go around Paris? Thanks

Judy.. Have you definitely rented your car from CDG? We drive all the time in France, but we have found that the easiest way if you are going south at all is to rent at Orly Airport. If you rent at Charles de Gaulle you either have to drive the Periferique around Paris or go out and around. We stay in Paris a few days and then taxi to Orly and rent at Hertz. Then we hop on the A6 and drive south to wherever we are going. It is much easier.
