Applied for renewal on 12 Mar. Received email approval on 14 Mar. Received new card via USPS 25 Mar. Just for info. -- YMMV
We had the same experience with renewal of both of our cards this month.
Eight and a half months.....still waiting.....sent a note to my Congressman today asking them to look into it especially since the Trusted Traveler website now says 4-6 months.
After five and one half months I received confirmation of my renewal for global entry.
I'm sorry to hear of people having long waits on Global Entry renewals. After reading about other people's experiences I was concerned. My husband and I submitted our renewals at the same time on Sunday afternoon and we both received our approvals Tuesday evening - less than three days. We renewed well in advance of our expiration dates (seven months and twelve months) and it was our second time renewing. Only needed to do the interview the one time at initial application. Maybe they are getting faster with the newer renewal applications?
Last year, my husband received his renewal within a week. I sent in my renewal over a month ago, and I am still waiting. I have traveled internationally during that month. I should have gone by the office in the airport, but was too tired after an 11 hour flight. Not sure if it would have helped.
My Global Entry experience:
Reapplied on March 25, received approval notice later that week. New card arrived today, April 12. This was the fasted ever.
I wrote to my Congressman regarding the long wait. They responded that they are waiting anywhere from 3-6 months for replies to their inquiries.
Coming up on nine months since my application for renewal.
I'll be returning to the US right around the one year anniversary. Let's see what happens by then.
