Glasgow to Iona itinerary

We arrive Glasgow via Dublin at 10:20 am and need to make a train to Iona that departs from Queen Street Station @12:21. Have we allowed ourselves enough time with customs, etc.? What's the most economical trasnport from GLA to Queen Street Station?

Greetings

There's no train to Iona, let alone to Mull. You would be taking a train to Oban, then going via ferry to Mull and the passenger ferry to Iona. Presuming you are either with a tour group or have your own car. Don't think there's a public bus to the Iona ferry on Mull.

Whether two hours is OK depends on which airport you are using - is it Glasgow Prestwick or Glasgow Airport. Glasgow Airport handles the transatlantic flights, but both handle flights from Dublin.

You should be fine (as long as your flights are delayed) from Glasgow Airport. I can't imagine it will take you more than 30 minutes to clear immigrations and get your luggage (customs is basically a non issue), and it's a bus trip, plus 10-15 minute train ride to Central Station, then another 15-20 minutes to get to Queen Street via bus/foot/taxi.

It will take a good hour from Glasgow Prestwick, so that would be cutting close especially if there are any delays.

Hope this helps
Kate
