I was browisng the Eurail timetable and there is a eurail train listed on the glacier express route? is glacier express name of a special train or is it a route? Is eurail pass ( not swiss pass) valid on Glacier express or only on a few sections of the total route? can someone clarify. I am bit confused ! Thanks

Glacier Express is the name of a particular train that travels on the same tracks as other trains. Here are the list of available discounts, you will see that Eurail is 25% discount: http://www.glacierexpress.ch/EN/timetable_tickets/general_information/discounts/Pages/default.aspx

Thnaks..so glacier express is a special train maybe with lunch, big windows etc.. So can i travel on the same route ( but not on glacier express) at a cheaper price or for free? on a ordinary train??

I took the Glacier express which is a slow train that stops frequently. The train took us from St Moritz to Andermatt and took 5 hours. Like Rick Steves said in his book the train ride is nothing special and I would not recommend it.
