Getting to the Amalfi Coast from the Naples Airport

There is a bus that goes directly from the airport to the commuter station in Sorrento, where you can catch another bus to Positano, however, you'd better check the internet if you are going out of season as both schedules are reduced from October to April.

You could also arrange for a private driver to meet you and take you to your hotel. Depending on the number of people in your group, the cost can work out to be pretty reasonable when you consider luggage handling and bus or train connections. We have done this trip 4 times, 4 different ways: train to Sorrrento then bus, bus to bus, ferry to bus, private driver. A Private driver was hands down the most efficient and lots of fun because we had a built in local tour guide. Also, depending on the time of day you arrive, you will get a private tour of the Amalfi Coast drive as a bonus. Just don't hire a taxi - very expensive. Also, your hotel may offer a shuttle or pick-up service. Check with them. If you are interested in a private driver we have used 2 different companies that I could recommend. Or look on tripadvisor.com for recommendations.
