I am looking at booking a flight out of Paris Orly that leaves at 7am. How do we get to the airport early enough to catch our flight? Will we need to take a taxi?

You'll need to arrange for a taxi. The Air France buses to Orly don't start until 6:30 a.m.

The RATP's OrlyBus leaves from Denfert-Rochereau metro/RER station starting at 5:35 and shouldn't take longer than 30 minutes to make the run at that hour of the morning. If you're on a European flight, that should be enough time to get checked in, etc., unless you're flying one of the discount airlines that closes its check-in 40 minutes before flight time. If you are flying one of those airlines, then take a taxi.
