I have a flight out of CDG at 7:30 a.m. on a Saturday morning and will be staying in central Paris the night before. The public transportation options aren't available that early (I'd want to leave around 4 a.m.) and I've read mixed review about shuttle services. I hate to have to pay for a cab but it seems like my only option. Are there other options of which I'm not aware?
You can take a Noctilien (night) bus from central Paris to CDG. For example, bus #120 leaves Chatelet at 03:22 and 04:22, making its first stop at CDG at 04:10 and 05:10 respectively. Here are the timetables.
Bus #121 leaves Chatelet at 04:17 and makes its first stop at CDG at 05:05. Here are the timetables.
The fare from central Paris to CDG will be four t+ Metro/bus tickets.
Take a taxi from your hotel to Chatelet or one of the other stops shown on the timetables.
If you're already facing a long hard day of long haul flying, there are times when you get value out of paying more for a less stressful way to get to the airport. But not everyone feels that way, depends on your ratio of energy to money, I guess.
Take a taxi, , even with the higher rate for night hour travel it will not be too expensive as there is not much traffic at 4 am, plus it is a Sat. am not mon-fri work week.
