getting from Rue Cler to CDG for 7am flight

The way we did this a couple years ago was to ask our hotel (the night before) to have our hotel arrange for a cab to pick us up from the hotel.

Yes, at that time of day/night the only way will be by cab, and that's a bit less than an hour....so either you plan on not getting much sleep, or staying in a hotel at the airport. And you're right to allow the 2 hour check in space.

A taxi will be expensive. Try to get your hotel to book you a shuttle van that will pick you up just like a cab.

you might consider staying at airport night before. at least it will be a whole lot cheaper and less nerve racking. Thanks! I'm only in Paris for 2 nights, so changing my hotel reservation isn't practical. I'll just suck up the cost of a cab or shuttle. Any idea how much it will cost?

Check with your airline, but for a Schengen flight I don't think you'll need to check in two hours ahead of departure, especially at that time of the morning.

If I'm right, then taking a taxi all the way is not your only option. Take a taxi from your hotel to Gare du Nord and take the first RER B train which leaves at 04:56 and arrives at CDG at 05:30.

Or if you want more of a cushion, take a taxi to Chatelet and take the N121 bus leaving at 04:17 and arriving at 05:05 (Terminal 2), 05:10 (Terminal 1), and 05:15 (Terminal 3).

Or take a taxi to Gare de l'Est and take the N140 bus leaving at 03:40 and arriving at CDG at 04:52 (Terminal 1), 04:59 (Terminal 2), and 05:02 (Terminal 3).
