Getting from Paris to Brussels- Battlefield of Waterloo

I'm leaving for Europe in 2 weeks, and I want to make train reservation for my trip from Paris to Waterloo. I tried booking directly on the Thalys website, but all my credits cards kept being rejected. Also, I'm trying to buy 6 tickets at the same time, and after entering all my traveling information and clicking the "search for trains" button, internet explorer does not display the page. Does anyone have any suggestions? Another cheap trust worthy website where to buy tickets? thanks!!!

If you're trying to print the tickets for Thalys, try having them mailed instead. For some reason, this is the only option Thalys allows for US credit cards (many of the other rail companies in Europe do not do this). Brussels to Waterloo is a commuter train, and there's no reason to buy in advanced. Just buy it when you get to the station. The train station is a long walk from the battlefield, so you may want to aquaint yourself with the Wallonian bus system, TEC.

Did you call your credit card providers to tell them you would be making an international transaction? If not, a computer may be blocking the transactions for unusual, and therefore possibly fraudulent, activity. You also could try booking on www.tgv-europe.com where the fares will be the same as they are on thalys.com. To keep the site in English and to avoid being bumped to Rail Europe which doesn't offer discount fares, choose Great Britain as your country of residence. Pick up your tickets at Gare du Nord.

Does your credit card issuer know you are buying overseas? Have they blocked your card? Have you disabled popups?
