We are staying at the Westin Palace in Milan. It looks like the Repubblica station is closer than the Centrale station. What is the best way of getting from Malpensa airport to Repubblica? I think it's the Malpensa express to Boviso, switch to surburban train, S1 to Repubblica. Is this correct? Do I have to buy 2 separate tickets for this route? Thanks to anyone with help. Where do I buy my tickets?
The Repubblica station is a subway station only one stop away from the Central station subway.
One option is the train from MXP to Centrale, then the M3 subway to Repubblica (one stop)
Another option is the Malpensa express train to Cadorna station (which is only 30 min), then from Cadorna you take the subway to Repubblica (M1 line from Cadorna to Duomo, then at Duomo transfer to line M3 to repubblica.
The S1 from Milano Nord-Bovisa is another option.
The ticket is purchased at the airport station. They might even have the subway tickets for sale there, otherwise get them in Milan.
The S1 operator is Trenord, the same company that runs the Malpensa express. If you go that route, the ticket is one.
Thank you Roberto. I'll probably go MXP express to Boviso, then S1 to Repubblica. Kim
