We're planning a trip to Spain in September, taking my 75 year old mother who has limited mobility. The plan is to arrive in Madrid, then take the AVE train to Barcelona. Any suggestions on how to best get to the train?
Probably a taxi. There could be a shuttle bus between the airport and the train station. We did it by bus and subway but that required a change and some walking. The taxi should be reasonable -- maybe 20 to 30 dollars.
I agree that a taxi or shuttle might be your best choice in this scenario. It won’t save you any money necessarily, but the Aerocity door-to-door shuttle is a good option if you need the room of a van. You can reserve online before your trip…pay the driver when he drops you off at Atocha. Clean vans, friendly drivers, and efficient service. Your cost for up to four people should be €25-30 (same as taxi).
