Getting from hotel to Bergen Airport for Saturday 6 am flight

I am a solo traveler with a carry-on bag only. I need to get from my hotel in the city to Bergen Airport for a Saturday 6 am flight.

Option 1: Taxis
This option is the most convenient but also very expensive ($60–$65). I will consider it if I can find another person to share the taxi.

Option 2: Flybussen Bergen airport shuttle
This is what I normally would have opted for, but I checked their schedule and the earliest shuttle departs on a Saturday at 4:11 am and arrives at 4:55 am. This means I'll only have one hour to get through security and get to the gate. That might work for some people, but I'm skeptical.

Option 3: Bybane light rail Line 1
According to Bybane online schedule, Line 1 has extended service hours on the weekend until 4 am. So, if I take the 3 am train at Byparken station, it will get me to the airport by 4 am


For those of you who have done this before, will Bybane be my best option? Any comments or suggestions would be much appreciated.

While we weren’t going that early in the morning, the Light Rail was easy to use, both from and to the airport. Presuming that it’s not so dark that you can’t find your way onto the train, it’ll be a smooth and relatively affordable option.

4:55am is the earliest arrival time for Flybussen at Bergen’s airport which is cutting it far too close for comfort. That leaves taxis, Bolt and Uber as your options.

The probable reason the first bus arrives at 4:55 is because that is sufficient time for the first flight of the day. Check the opening hours of the airport. If you arrive to early you may end up having to wait outside till the place opens.

When the Bybanen opened that was a revolutionary moment for transport in the city- having done both the bus and the Bybanen in most circumstances I would always take the train nowadays. In some ways I was surprised that the bus survived. The tram/light rail is in my opinion much the better way to do the journey.
