Piccadilly Line Tube is the cheapest way. Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square, Green Park, Hyde park Corner all on Piccadilly line. Actually many stations, such as South Kensington, have escalators from the Piccadilly Line to the surface, so if you have luggage you can take it instead of actual stairs. Or, the Gloucester Road station, for example, has no escalator but an elevator from the Piccadilly Line platform to the station lobby, so no struggle up stairs for that ride either. There are stairs (no escalator) at Gloucester Road from the Central and Circle Line platforms though.
