Getting from Durham to hadrian's wall

Do you have a car? If so, a map and guidebook will tell you the best locations to find along the wall. Without a car, your best bet is to take a daytrip tour of some kind. Check around online to see if there are any out of Durham. If not, there are some out of Newcastle, a short train ride north.
