I realize you take RER 8 to get downtown Paris it is about 8.50 E.
However I need to get off at Gare Nord and then take the Metro to My Hostel area 19.
Does this RER 8 go near where I want to go?
Can I buy metro tickets at the same place I buy my RER ticket?
Can I get all my prebooked train tickets there as well?

Stew, I can't answer your RER question because I never use it to get into Paris from the airport. It's RER Line B, by the way, not 8. But it seems you need a metro and RER map. You can download these from the RATP site, or go here:

If you give us the address of your hostel in the 19th, we can advise on how to get there. (Does your hostel have a website with "how to get to us" info?)
A ticket (€8.40) provides you with unlimited transfers to the Metro and/or other RER lines until you exit the system. Keep your ticket with you until you've taken your last ride and have exited the system.
