Getting around in Venice

Does anyone know if it is better to get an ACTV Pass for 2 days of waterbusing around Venice or is the VeniceCard worth it's price for the waterbuses and the extra discounts and attractions? Thanks for your help!

My recollection is that there is a 24-hour and a 72- hour pass but not a 48-hour pass (you mentioned a 2-day pass); but I could be wrong, so hopefully someone else will comment and clarify this. The way it used to work, a 24-hour pass saves money after two trips. I believe Rick has stated in one of his books that in his opinion the Venice Card card is "not worth the bother."

Sue, I just found euorpeforvisitors.com/venice/articles also europeforvisitors.com/venice/articles/labienallede_venezia.htm
If you are traveling from June through November there is an Bienalle - art exhibit. Looks facinating. We will be there 3 days and I think we will get the card that covers churches and bathrooms. This site has a lot of information on it. I was looking for pricing of vaporettos and this site has the updated prices.
europeforvisitors.com/venice/articles/venice-vaporetto-fares.htm. Frommers.com may have info too but haven't gotten past this site.
