Germany rail pass

The Germany rail pass includes train travel from Germany to Brussels, but does it also include train travel from Brussels into Germany? My travels originate in Brussels and I'll be taking the train to Germany. Thanks for any input

In theory it works both ways but only on ICE trains (which are run by DB). You cannot use Belgian railway or Thalys trains. But there is the question of having the first validation done. It says in the conditions "If you arrive in Germany on a train from abroad, a ticket inspector on the train can also validate your pass."

If you need a conductor to activate the pass onboard, try to find one right away, rather than waiting in a seat. You might see one hanging out the door of the train during boarding.

The direct German ICE trains to/from Cologne and Frankfurt depart from Brussels MIdi and Nord stations, but not from the Central station.
