I have been trying to book a ticket from Paris to Bacharach for June 2012. The German rail site will not quote me a price. It asks for payment information and states the tickets will be mailed. How can I see what the cost of this will be?

The Bahn only sells ticket as far out as 92 day. In a few days those tickets might go on sale. On the other hand, the schedule for the 2nd half of 2012 changes the 2nd weekend in June (10th). You might not be able to book until the new schedule is put up. However, you can probably book now by calling German Rail, 011-49-1805-996633 (If memory serves me. The phone number is on their website.) Fares are shown for most connection for June 8, and you can expect the fares after that to be the same until June 9, and similar after June 10. Connections with segments entirely in France will probably never be bookable online.
