German flexipass or Linder-tickets

My husband and I are visiting Germany, flying into Frankfort. We want to use the train but am not sure what the best train tickets to get. We plan on taking the train to the Rhine valley, maybe a boat cruise, and then stop at differnt places on the Romantic Road to Munich with a trip to Salzburg. What is the best plan, linder tickets or flexipass?

Frankfort is the capital of Kentucky; Frankfurt is a large city in Germany, you are probably flying into Frankfurt.

I would need a better itinerary to help you determine the best ticketing method for your trip. For travel just on the middle Rhine, a Rheinland-Pfalz (Länder) Ticket would be best; similarly for travel just in Bavaria, a Bayern Ticket would be best. The trip from the middle Rhine to the Romantic Road might be a bit more problematic, but you can probably do it with Länder-Tickets.
