Why not take a Southern train to Victoria? Travel time is only 10 minutes longer than the Gatwick Express, trains run every 15 minutes, and the fare is only £10.90.

I considered that, but was hoping for a promo code to make the Gatwick Shuttle cheaper than the alternatives. Worth a shot.

Yeah. I could not findd anything current. The ones I found expired in 2006/07

I don't know of any promo codes but you can obtain a hefty discount if you are willing to sit with others. When we traveled the Gatwick Express in 2007, we learned that if 4 people are willing to purchase their tickets together and sit together, they will receive the Family Discount. In the Family Discount, 4 tickets cost the same a 2 regular tickets.
Sometimes you can find smaller passenger groups (1-3 people) looking for other passengers with whom to buy tickets. You can also locate a smaller group while waiting in the queue at Customs.
