Yet another question! I am a major planner so I like to have all the info I can and the people on this forum have been an invaluable plethora of useful information so, THANK YOU.
So as to my question, we are thinking of renting our vehicle through gemut.com. I've been on Trip Advisor forums and most of the comments have been positive. Has anyone used them? Recommendations?

They've been around for a long time and get very positive reviews. I've not used them because I prefer public transport whenever possible.

We’ve used gemut.com for our rental cars on our last four trips. We wouldn’t rent through anyone else.
They are excellent at customer service and price.

Gemut gives you a sense of comfort that you are making the right decisions. They did not get the details of our rental quite right. We questioned twice the rental SUV size; it turned out to be just as we suspected, too small. Please, please evaluate the size of car you need. It did not ruin our trip and we made our own solution in the end with the help of the actual rental agency.

We rented through them this past September for a Germany trip. Everything was handled flawlessly. Their customer service was top notch. If ever I'm lucky enough to go back, I wouldn't hesitate to rent through them again.

Last November I tried to get a quote from Gemuta for renting a car in Spain, and they wanted my personal information first. Instead I booked a car in the US with Thrifty (operated by Hertz in Spain) at a rate ~30% lower than Europcar and AutoEurope. Smooth transaction all the way through without upsell and extra charge.
