First Great Western trains run directly from Oxford to Paddington. The walk-up 2nd class fare will be over £20. Booked well in advance (up to 12 weeks allowed), you can get a discount fare for under £10. Discount fare tickets are for a specific departure date and time and are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. Be sure you can commit before booking.
