I will be traveling tomorrow from Nice Ville to the Cinque Terre. I have a eurail pass. I know I need to go to Ventimiglia but then I'm not sure how is the best route to get to the cinque terre. What are your suggestions? I'm guessing I should go to Monterosso since its the first of the Cinque Terre cities?

You can leave Nice as early as 05:25. See the detailed timetables on the German Rail site.

There's really only one route and that is via Genoa. You will change trains at Ventimiglia as that is where you change from the French trains to the Italian trains. The trip will take about 6 hours as all of the trains on this route are almost all Regionale or Intercity trains. Very few, if any, of the fast trains.
