Hello, My friends and I plan on going Valras Plage in about a year and a half (my friend has a house there) we started looking around and found that a flight Nice is much cheaper than Beziers (about two thousand dollars cheaper). Here is my dilemma, we need to rent a car to get around Valras, originially we planned to drive from Nice to Valras Plage, but after looking, I discovered its about a 5 hour drive. Normally, that wouldn't be an issue, but I'm a little concerned about us driving while fatigued from the flight. The rental company has a place in Beziers, but their cars are too small. Is it possible, then, for the car company to drive us to the town and leave the car there? If not, is there anyway that we could eliminate jet-lag, so that we can drive? Thanks.

Why not fly to Barcelona or Toulouse? They are much closer.

I like Nigel's idea. If you fly into Barcelona rather than Toulouse, take the train to Perpignan and pick up a rental car there. That way you won't have to pay the stiff fee for picking up a car in one country and dropping it in another.
