Will be in stuttgart for 2 days. arriving in Stuttgart, going directly to Mercedes. spending night at hotel next to mercedes. Question..next day going to porsche, tour factory and need to catch train to get to Bacharach by no later than 5pm. . I know train back to stuttgart stops in front of porsche..can this work or do I give up one of the factory tours. Thanks

We did the Porsche factory tour and Mercedes museum in one day. As you are doing both over two days you will have plenty of time to make your train connection. We did the Porsche factory tour in the morning. Not sure where train stops near Porsche factory. Easy to get a taxi to main Stuttgart station.

You need to be on the S bahn from Neuwirtshaus(Porscheplatz) going to Stuttgart Hbf at 1:31 pm. Catch ICE train, with conections in Mannheim and Mainz gets you to Bacharach by 4:27 pm.
