Megg, The "best way" is to travel via EuroStar to Paris (Gare du Nord) and then regular train to Normandy. It's not exactly "economical", however it's the quickest method. Some additional information would be helpful. When the students arrive in Normandy, which town are they stopping at, which beache(s) are they planning to visit and how are they planning to get there? Using Omaha Beach for example, it's several miles from the nearest town, so some form of transportation will be required.
