We (2 seniors) will be arriving at Heathrow on a Delta flight on Monday, Sept 17th around 10am. Since we are staying at the Lime Tree Hotel, I am thinking taking the National Express Bus to Victoria Coach Station makes the most sense.
Buy tickets in advance or can it be done almost as economically that day? Any other suggestions/advice?
Thank you in advance.
Buy it when you get there. The ticket you buy is only good for the scheduled time you choose. Your flight could end up delayed causing you to miss the bus
Definitely buy at the time. Just follow the signs for the National Express Coach station after you pass thru customs in the Delta terminal. There are a couple of places where it is not particularly well-signed. I just used the coach a few weeks ago. Watch the destination signs on the coaches as well as the signboards out in the coach parking bays. When we were there the signboard was wrong but the destinations on the coaches were correct. Ask the drivers if in doubt. They are awesome.
Your walk from the coach arrivals station to the front door of the Lime Tree will be much shorter than the walk to the Heathrow coach station, lol!!
It was 10£ each, no concession (senior) fare.
