Ever since we got tickets online through Voyages-scnf.com over 2 years ago, I have been receiving regular updates on reduced fares and their availability in English. Today I got one with info on their low-fare calendar. You can find the calendar on the opening page at http://en.voyages-sncf.com/en/ under "Best Fare Finder." You can also sign up for these updates by putting your email address in the box labeled: "Receive the Latest Train Deals." I thought this might be helpful for anyone planning to travel by train in France or from France to elsewhere, especially if they have some flexibility in their itinerary. Some of the fares are astonishingly low.
