French Bee EWR to Paris

Anyone have experience flying French Bee to Paris Orly?

I would avoid them like the plague.
My son and 3 friends bought 4 r/t tickets in Jan 2021 from SF-Orly for June 2021 and a week before leaving French Bee cancelled the to Orly portion (not the return). My son and friends had to scramble to get tickets on TAP Airline at the last minute. Three days before their return, FB cancelled their return tickets. Again, my son and 3 friends had to scramble to get return tickets on another airline last minute.

In June of 2021 i bought 2 r/t tickets on FB for Oct 2021 thinking they wouldn’t do it again, that it was an anomaly. Hope springs eternal and their low price was very enticing. Well, less than 2 wks before our Oct trip, FB cancelled our flights to Paris. We then cancelled our return flights too as we did not trust them anymore.

Luckily Delta/Air France was having a Sale and we got r/t, non-stop, SF-CDG for $600 each at the last minute.

I will never even consider FB again.

They cram an extra seat into each row.

Not for the broad shouldered. Or normal shouldered, even.

I flew FB the other way, it was fine. Certainly the cheapest I could find without going through an agency. I agree with the pointsguy link but I don't trust Trustpilot, whatever that is. I can't take trustpilot seriously when the FB reviews are in the Construction section. Looks like a lot of people who reviewed there didn't check the options and rules carefully when selecting.

I had to use their customer service to try to modify my wife's flight, it was smoother than I thought it would be as the same customer service agent helped me through the whole process, even calling me back at one point. It didn't work out in the end (the rules didn't allow rebooking to a different destination), but he helped me get everything back in order. Our flights were smooth and without incident, the service was professional but understandably impersonal being a bargain airline.

@ Susan....C'est formidable ! Getting a price of $600 r/t SFO to CDG in June? I haven't paid a fare like that, ie, under $700 SFO to CDG since Aug. 1977. That was my very first time on Air France....very nice then regarding service in Economy.

And $700 in '77 dollars is equivalent to over $3,000 today: air fares have gone waaaay down...

Oui Fred, c’était vraiment formidable. We were very lucky after our 3 very bad experiences with French Bee to find this price 2 wks before our Oct 2021 trip and on a very good airline… non-stop too. We’re flying Delta/Air France, same flight, again in 3 wks. This time tickets cost $1200 pp, but all airline prices have gone up this year as you know. Still not tempted to fly French Bee, lol.

@ Susan....I believe in 1977 the price for the Air France r/t to Paris on a 747 was $665. It was what was called then an Apex fare. Definitely it was lower than seven hundred. As usual, " French Bee" was represented on 16 July at Embarcadero Plaza in Bastille Day celebration. I wouldn't fly with them either.

Oh Fred, another good reason why i need to go next year on Bastille Day, as you’ve so kindly reminded me of for the last two. I’d be very happy to talk to the French Bee reps.
