I am unable to find the location of this train station in Vienna. I don't see it in the website but when I search for a ticket from Wien to Krems it shows the regional express train departing from this station.
Can anyone give me a hint as to its location, or the nearest Ubahn line/stop?? Thanks !!

Hi,
You can also transfer once by departing from Wien Hbf, change at St Pölten, (one station west of Westbahnhof)
Franz Joseph Bahnhof is close to the U-4 line with Heiligenstadt as the terminus (die Endstation) Take the U-4 to Spittelau station, then transfer to the S-7. I believe the S-7 stops at Franz Joseph Bahnhof.

Hi,
If you need to get to Westbahnhof esp with luggage in tow, but the train does not stop there but only at Wien Hbf or Wien Meidling, not all is lost. You don't need to ride to Wien Hbf and then back track on the tram or the U-Bahn plus one transfer at Stephansplatz amidst the crowds and the luggage. You get off at St Pölten, take a regional train to Westbahnhof or the Westbahn. No need navigating the U-Bahn stations and Hbf with luggage. Very few get on/off at St Pölten.
