My husband and I will be flying from Frankfurt to Stockholm for a cruise. We would like to add on Copenhagen after the cruise finishes and before we return to Frankfurt. What are our most wallet-friendly options for transportation between the three countries? It appears that there are not too many low-cost airlines which follow this particular route, but perhaps I have overlooked something key...

Try the train. Stockholm to Malmo, Sweden (across the bay from Copenhagen) is only about 4.5 hours (visit www.sj.se for details).
From Copenhagen to Frankfurt is about 8.5 hours with one change. See the Deutsche Bahn website (http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en).
