My son and I will be traveling in June. We are flying into Frankfurt early morning. We are planning a quick trip to Koln upon arrival by rail. Then we are headed to the Rhine Valley, Barcharach. WE will stay 2 nights here. After that we would like to travel to Munich--stay 2 or 3 nights. From Munich to Paris for 2 days then to London for 3 or 4 days I am a little confused. Should I purchase a eurail pass then a Eustar to get to London??
Certainly would appreciate any suggestions.
Although the Eurail pass would get you a discounted fare on the EuroStar, I don't think that would offset the added cost of a pass over P2P tickets. Germany has a lot of purchase ahead discounts like the Dauer-Spezial (Bacharach-Munich as low as €29 pP).
