Have flown in and out of the Frankfurt airport but have never had to meet someone there. My daughter is flying in from Detroit (Delta 142) arriving this Sunday at 10:05 and we are picking her up. We are currently living in Fulda and will take the train to the Fernbahnof. My question is that I think her flight may come into terminal 2/D. What is the best way to get to 2D for arrivals? Use the skyline or shuttle? Appreciate any help. Have studied the airport map but any advice would be helpful.

The access road in front of the terminals is one way, so Terminal 1 to 2 on the shuttle is fast. For Terminal 2 to 1, the shuttle has to go out and around the Fernbahnhof and come back, so it takes more time. The shuttles come from all over the area and pass through FRA on their route. Sometimes they are 7 min apart, sometimes 1 min. It's hard to predict. I'd take the Skyline, although you have to wind your way around in Terminal 1. Look for signs.

I would take the Skytrain, it only takes a 2 minutes and one comes through every 3 min. From the Fernbahnhof, you will need to walk through the airport to the Skytrain. Just follow the signs. I am not familiar with the shuttle, but the airport website says it runs every 10 min. from one terminal to the next. So, not very helpful.

Just got back from a dinner at an Indian restaurant in Fulda with two German professors and two Austrailian professors.....what an evening.....can't beat this experience. Priceless!!!!
