I am trying to figure the shortest time from Toulouse to Chartres. Flying takes me to Orly which isn't easy to get the metro from to Gare Montparnasse; van service is 115 euro ONE person one way.even though it's a 4 person van! It's over 6 hours by train Toulouse-Paris. I am not driving. Any suggestions?

You can take Air France bus #1 from either Orly Sud or Orly Ouest directly to Gare Montparnasse. Buses run every 20 minutes. Or you can take the Orlyval driverless shuttle train from the airport to the Antony RER station, the RER B from there to Denfert-Rochereau, and either metro line 4 or metro line 6 from there to Montparnasse-Bienvenue.
