In May my wife and I plan to visit Nice and Milan, departing from Geneva. In terms of time on train, is Geneva/Nice/Milan/Geneva better, or Geneva/Milan/Nice/Geneva? Also, is the Italian train system as efficent as Swiss Rail?

curtis, In my experience, NO rail system is as efficient as the Swiss, however Itallian rail is reasonably efficient. In terms of the order of visits, I'd suggest having a look at the bahn.de website to see how the travel times differ. Happy travels!
