So just randomly checked delta this morning for roundtrip flights to London from Southern California for April 2024. Surprised to find numerous flights for first/business class for 2795.00. I was also able to use 140,000 miles to get the price down to 1400.00!! Pretty far out but just couldn't pass this up. So, if this route is one you will be taking check it out.
I think it is wise to book way ahead these days to get the best prices. I love how you can use points/money to get a flight on Delta. I am flying Delta on points tomorrow from the Midwest to LHR. I paid 112,000 points each for Main cabin. So yes, I know your flight is shoulder season, but First class at that price seems like a good deal to me.
I'm Checking asap. Thx so much for sharing!
Wow, thanks. We have a multicity flight to plan next spring, but we'll be flying home from London. I'll check this out.
Wish British Airways would match these fares!
These tickets are actually for Delta One including the suites on some of the available flights. This is from San Diego to London. As I usually go to Italy I really don't know what the usual prices are but in checking several weeks ago they were $2,000 more for same flights. I just looked again this morning out of curiosity and they are still the lower price. I always fly Delta and like the straight delta no code share flights with only one stop. Using miles and cash option to purchase was a ridiculous amount of miles but after I returned to the flight schedule for just dollars it showed the miles available flights and then i was able to apply my miles toward the purchase.
I just checked, and they're not showing our dates (mid to late May) yet. I put in the latest possible dates just to check, and the price range for just over $3,000 to about $3,600. That's from Tulsa, though. I don't remember what we're paying for our upcoming trip this year, but I think it was about $3500.
