Flying to new destination and not sure about airfares

I have always flown into Dublin or Copenhagen previously, but this year I am flying from Las Vegas to Athens. After much searching, I have found a fare on Delta for just under $1300 including travel insurance. Does this sound ok?

Hello Jo. Yes, $ 1300. for flying from Las Vegas to Athens (and return) sound O K., for traveling in September. For flights to Athens the price for airline tickets is much lower for flying in October.
I flew with DELTA from New York JFK to Athens. It was pleasant, but airplanes flying from New York JFK airport can experience delays: an airplane could depart one hour late. When I went to Greece, only two airlines had flights direct from the U.S.A. to Athens. DELTA and Olympic. The tickets for the Olympic airline flights (in the coach section of the airplane) were sold out, more than nine months before the flight date. I liked the departure times and arrival times of the DELTA airline flights.

It's amazing how flying to Athens can sometimes double the cost of airfare vs. flying to somewhere like Paris, London or Frankfurt. $1300 seems reasonable, but I wouldn't be shocked if you could do better.
