Hi all: I am about to start looking for our tickets to get around Europe - we only did train last time so I'm not sure of the best strategy. Is it best to book as far out as possible for good price? Is it reasonable to get a one way, say BCN-FCO, for $150 (total pp, including all taxes/fees)? Or should I hold out and try to get closer to $100? I want to get the "real" airports, and not ones far out of the city since we are traveling with kids. Thanks!!
Kim
Hi Kim. Use skyscanner.com to search for flights. Enjoy your trip!
Kim, You might have a look at Vueling, as they have several FCO / BCN flights each day. Prices will vary according to how early you book and which flight you use. Note that many budget airlines use a "sliding scale" with prices increasing as the flight fills, so it's a really good idea to book as soon as you have your details finalized. They currently have prices as low as €89.99 PP for travel in August. Be sure to read the "Terms & Conditions" carefully, especially related to luggage limits. When you arrive in Barcelona, using the AeroBus Shuttle is about the cheapest way to get to either Plaça Espanya or Plaça de Catalunya. I travelled that route a few weeks ago, and it was very easy. Happy travels!
