Flying out of CDG -- laptop and shoes question

I've been researching the security protocols at the airports I'll be flying through in October and can't find any info re going through security at CDG with a laptop. I expect to have to remove it from its case to be screened separately, but I'm wondering if I'll have to turn it on. Anyone had recent experience?

Also, while I've found info for SEA and LHR about removing shoes for the security check, I can't seem to find anything for CDG. Again, anyone had recent experience?

(I know these are kind of petty things that are totally subject to change at any moment, but I like to be prepared. Thanks!)

Just in case, put a label with your name on your laptop. While waiting at CDG I read the statistics of what passengers forget at the security check. The top item was belts (like hundreds in several months.) They say they keep candy at the Lost and Found for those who come in crying or distressed. Every so often, they give what didn't get retrieved to a charity.

Anna: Good idea. And how cute that they keep candy for distressed Losers-Weepers!

I flew out of CDG in January and we did not have to remove our shoes. We didn't have a laptop with us so I can't help with that.

I came through CDG last month. No shoe removal and people were putting laptops through without turning them on.
