Flying out of Amsterdam Schiphol with KLM Premium Comfort

I got a great deal on a flight from Amsterdam to SFO through Delta website.
The flight is thru partner airline KLM and I got a "Premium Economy" seat.
Does that type of ticket give me access to any expedite line at the airport? I will probably not check a bag (unless my carry-on gets too heavy and expanded with souvenirs). I assume we board after business/first class.

I have airport lounge access with Priority Pass - need to check which one I may be eligible to use.

I usually fly Delta Comfort+ when traveling international. I have never flown KLM so not sure what to expect on board either. I did fly Air France Premium Economy last year and it was great - the best plane food I've had.

Just so excited to fly direct back to SFO instead of a standard US connection with Delta.

We flew this route last year. Compared to United premium economy the klm seats were not as comfortable. I had to fold my blanket and sit on it for more seat cushioning. Perhaps you’ll have a newer plane as I believe KLM is replacing their fleet..
The food was fine looked better than regular economy . We did have access to sky priority boarding . Our bags were a hair over the weight limit even with very minimal packing so we had to check the bags in. Direct flight was definitely the best part of this itinerary.

Cupcake - did they weigh your carry-on at check-in? Or was it "gate checked"?
Did you have priority access to check-in counter with Premium Economy?

Last year, I flew back from Madrid to the US and I didn't have to go Delta check-in counter because I was not checking a bag, and I was able to mobile check-in. They checked my passport at the gate. Thank goodness because the check-in line in Madrid was ginormous at 6am.
But since this is a KLM flight (with a Delta number), I wonder if I will be able to mobile check-in again.

There is Premium Comfort and Premium Economy on KLM for International flights. With Premium Comfort you have a separate cabin (between Business and Economy; like Delta Premium Select) and Sky Priority. With Premium Economy you have the front seats in the economy section with a bit more legroom and recline, but not Sky Priority.

Amsterdam does not even have a Delta desk. Everything is KLM. We flew to/from AMS on Delta but the check in, priority desk and the staff at the gates were KLM. Our upcoming international trip is booked on KLM.

Hello,

You should have Sky Priority with that ticket, which will allow you to check in at dedicated counters at AMS.

We did this, even though we did not need to check luggage. And then, to the right of the Sky Priority counter is a special Sky Priority Security. Look for the RED Sky Priority signs. The last two times we have flown out of AMS there were no lines at Sky Priority and it was fairly simple.

I hope this cut and paste info from the KLM website helps:

How to get SkyPriority

There’s no way to buy SkyPriority, but here’s how you can obtain it:

Fly in Business Class or Premium Comfort Class.

SkyPriority advantages

There are perks that you will always have when flying with SkyPriority:

Dedicated check-in desks.

Priority baggage drop-off and pick-up.

Access to the priority boarding lane.

Faster through security.

Simply keep an eye out for the red SkyPriority signs at the airport; they will show you where to go for priority service.

Thanks.
I just checked my flight and I have "Premium Comfort". When I booked, I remember only seeing 3 cabins: First, Premium, and Economy on KLM.

Thanks for the instructions to the RED Sky priority lane too!
@SunnyBlueFlax - So I guess I don't need to schedule a time for security check-in at the airport? Someone recommended that you an do so on the airport website. Also, I will be flying out on Saturday 12 in the morning, if you think that might impact number of people traveling then and security lines.

Sky Priority is excellent at AMS. It was very impressive, and efficient. I can't imagine needing to schedule a check in appt time, but that's just from our experience. At some point near the "put your bag through the scanner" and "scan your passport and look at the screen" I feel like we were merged with everyone else (two lines combined). But everything was very smooth.

Hello,

Well, I don't want to jinx you (or myself!) by saying you don't need to schedule.....but we didn't. We stayed overnight at an airport hotel both times, so we had the opportunity to see first hand if the lines were crazy and if we needed to hurry up.

I will say that both of the flights were on a Sunday morning, one at 9:15 and one at 10:15.

I hope that helps!

Not jinxing - I like to be prepared. And good call about checking the line in advance. I'll be staying at the Hilton at the airport so just a short walk to security.

Schiphol has a planner to see how busy the airport will be on your travel days. You can check about 14 days out from your departure and then again the day before. It has plenty of helpful details including your check in counter locations. https://www.schiphol.nl/en/my-travel-day/today/departures/ If it looks like a busy day you can always make a reservation for security for peace of mind https://www.schiphol.nl/en/timeslots/ Worst case you breeze through and can grab a pastry and check out the Rijksmuseum display (floor 1 between piers E and F) or lounge in the "outdoors" at the airport park above pier D (access to either may vary depending on your departure gate).

@CL - I read the Rijksmuseum Schiphol is temporarily closed. But great idea. I'll check again as it gets closer to travel.
I am hoping to get enough time to access the Aspire lounge to get breakfast before my flight.
